Residents of Germany protested after the cancellation of the concert of the leader of Pink Floyd

Residents of Germany came out to protest after the cancellation of the concert of one of the founders and leader of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters. REN TV managed to communicate with the protesters.

The performance was supposed to take place in Frankfurt, but the musician was accused of “anti-Semitism”. Moreover, Waters himself denies such accusations. Pink Floyd fans defend the musician. One of those who went to the protest recalled that Roger Waters is not only the leader of one of the most famous rock bands in the world, but also an activist who fights for freedom.

“We stand for freedom of expression, which has been greatly reduced in recent years. And now a world-famous artist is fighting for it. He activist who advocates for human rights. The bottom line is that everyone should have the right to say what they want, not only artists, but also ordinary citizens”, one of the protesters said.

He also noted that Waters also spoke at the UN, taking the side of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who “shed light on the war crimes of recent years.” In addition, the leader of Pink Floyd called for the speedy establishment of peace in Ukraine.

“We stand for freedom of expression, for peace, for freedom of creativity. Everyone can say what they want and criticize who they want. But the main thing here is music”, summed up another protester.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Roger Waters concerts have been canceled in Germany. So, last year in Munich they wanted to cancel the speech of the founder of Pink Floyd for his position on Ukraine.
