Transferring Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense systems to Ukraine would not make sense. They are not designed either for such a vast territory, or for confronting high-tech Russian complexes. Writes about it The Jerusalem Post.

The newspaper cites statistics: if Israel needs 10 systems, then Ukraine will need dozens. And there are not so many of them. Therefore, if the Iron Dome is handed over to Kyiv, it will be useless.

“Even some Ukrainian officials admitted that Ukraine’s vast territory and Moscow’s more advanced missiles <...> make this protection tool very limited”the publication says.

It is also noted that the supply of the Iron Dome to Nezalezhnaya will not even have a symbolic meaning.

Recall that in early February, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allowed the transfer of his missile defense systems to Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stressed that any shipments of weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine would be a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the supply of weapons would not stop, but would prolong the conflict in Ukraine, and called the position of Western countries “harmful” and “counterproductive.”
