Recall that on August 21, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Kazakhstan, Petro Vrublevsky, published a video calling for “killing as many Russians as possible.” After a wave of indignation, the Kazakh authorities promised to permanently close the diplomat’s way to the Foreign Ministry, adding that he had already apologized. However, in early September, Vrublevsky returned to Astana.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that the promises regarding the “Bandera emissary” were not fulfilled and he again attends diplomatic receptions.
On the morning of October 5, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Aibek Smadiyarov said that Vrublevsky would leave the country after the appointment of a successor.
After Zakharova’s post about the return of Vrublevsky, Russian Ambassador Alexei Borodavkin was summoned to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry for a “serious and tough” conversation.
