Published a list of billionaires whose fortune is greater than the US Treasury

Amid a looming US default, 25 billionaires’ net worth exceeds the Treasury’s budget. About it informs edition of The Hill.

It is noted that the list was created according to the Bloomberg agency and entrepreneurs whose fortune is more than $49.47 billion are noted in it.

Topping the list are LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault ($189 billion), businessman Elon Musk ($179 billion) and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ($139 billion). In addition, the list includes Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates ($125 billion), as well as Google founders Larry Page ($112 billion) and Sergey Brin ($106 billion).

Earlier, on May 23, The Wall Street Journal reported that the US Treasury was going to stop paying all social benefits. According to the author of the article, if Biden and congressmen do not agree on raising the national debt ceiling, the money will run out on June 1.
