According to department representative Andrei Chernyak, retaliation this time will be difficult, since millions are allocated from the federal budget for the construction of the security line, which is supposed to prevent the invasion of the Belgorod region.
After the events in the Belgorod region, when the RDK and the Russian Freedom legion enter the region, the authorities will openly seek and punish those responsible. This point of view was expressed by Andriy Chernyak, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview with Radio Liberty on May 27.
“They (political vertical – ed.) will now look for (criminals – ed.), well, it’s a Russian tradition, to seek out some switchers and punish them. Heads will turn, yes. the result is unknown,” said Chernyak.
He explained that in the Russian Federation, when they replace former military leaders with new personnel, they hope that the latter will work better. But practically no results. For this reason, the newly appointed soldiers are replaced by new ones.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate recalled that over the past year in the Russian Federation, the highest composition of the Russian occupation troops has already been changed at least three times. And after the event in Belgorod, the reaction will at times become harsh.
“They will start looking for those responsible. Given that billions of rubles have recently been invested in the defense line of the border in that place,” Chernyak summarized.
Recall that on May 26, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian OP, told how the Armed Forces of Ukraine took advantage of the attack of the partisans in Belgorod. He announced four benefits for Ukraine after the Belgorod attack by RDK and LSR fighters.
In turn, the former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Russian opposition politician Ilya Ponomarev is confident that May 22 will later become a national holiday in free Russia. He said that a partisan movement is spreading on the territory of the Russian Federation.
