The New Development Bank (NDB), created by the BRICS states, should remain open to accepting new members who share its agenda. This was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov during a speech at the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors and the Board of Directors of the NBR at the bank’s headquarters in Shanghai, China.

“It is important to continue to be open to the entry into the bank’s shareholders of new members who share the development agenda and cooperation with all international organizations,” Siluanov said.

According to him, it is important for the BRICS bank to rely on its internal resources and the internal resources of its own shareholder states, and are not afraid to be ambitious in the implementation of their own agenda.

Anton Siluanov added that the New Development Bank will successfully cope with all the challenges it faces.

Earlier it was reported that Saudi Arabia is in talks to join the BRICS bank.
