Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said he does not believe the statements of the American company Apple, which denies the use of the iPhone in the interests of the US intelligence services.
He spoke about this during a conversation with reporters.
The reason was the statement of the company, which rejected the accusations of the FSB of the Russian Federation in spying on Russian citizens using “apple” smartphones. The company’s comment was published by Reuters.
Medvedev said that such words from any, even the largest technology company, about refusing to work with national intelligence for “ideological reasons” can only mean two things: either it is “shamelessly lying” or it is going to close.
“Miracles Don’t Happen” he noted.
Medvedev added that all owners of Apple with a closed iOS OS, as well as Samsung with Android open to third-party applications, should keep this in mind.
Recall that the opening of spying on Apple devices of Russians was reported on June 1 by the FSB. They noted that the facts of “infection” of smartphones with virus spyware were also detected in foreign numbers that used SIM cards registered with diplomatic missions and embassies of the Russian Federation. According to them, several thousand iPhones were infected.
