Picasso’s lover Gilot dies at 101

At the age of 102, the artist and beloved of the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso Françoise Gilo died. This was reported in the publication The New York Times.

The relationship with Picasso, who was 40 years older than Gilot, lasted almost 10 years and ended in 1953. The artist and his chosen one had two children, but the woman decided to leave the founder of cubism because of his many betrayals.

After the break with Picasso, Gilot was actively engaged in creativity. Her paintings were quite popular and are now presented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Pompidou Center in Paris.
