My understanding is that the dam has not completely collapsed and eventual damage will be calculated but not small and would be considered tens of billions of dollars:

• direct loss of population and jobs due to artificial flooding;
• losses in agriculture and fisheries and we will already calculate losses in agriculture towards the end of the year;
• losses due to downtime of industrial companies due to water scarcity;
• risk of environmental disaster from spilling petroleum products and other harmful substances.

It is clear that all responsibility for their actions rests with the Russians. Not only did they remove heavy equipment in advance, but they also carefully prepared the information space to cover this terrorist attack. Now in the headlines of a significant part of the Western media: “This is not Russia …”, “The dam is old and burst on its own …”, “It’s all Ukraine …” etc. Taking over the knowledge space in this way takes a week or two of careful preparation and a substantial budget. Since the attack was clearly aimed at the civilian population, then of course they fear an even stronger reaction in Russia from the UK, the EU and the USA, so the Russians sang “it’s not that simple”. ..”

But it turned out to be clear. And after the aggressor’s army did not give the opportunity to evacuate people from the left bank and did not carry out this evacuation themselves, they added genocide to the violation of the water balance of the region and the ecosystem. I think it’s time for our European partners to start confiscating Russian state assets frozen in the EU in favor of Ukraine and let the Russians know that they have lost their gold reserves forever. Moreover, there are already two precedents around the world that central banks have withdrawn their gold reserves from non-confiscated assets: First, the US Supreme Court’s 2016 decision regarding all Iranian assets confiscated in the US; secondly, the decision of the International Court of Justice dated March 30, 2023 that the assets of the Central Bank of Iran are subject to confiscation. I don’t understand how the Central Bank of Iran is different from the Central Bank, there is no difference.

It’s time to put an end to this issue, as the Central Bank administration feeds the Russians in the hope that they will return the reserves. A definitive response from the EU will lead to the perpetrators being sought in the founding of the aggressor country, and someone will have to account for the $392.5 billion gold reserves resulting from the sanctions and war losses. I understand that the Russian president somehow imagined his “personal swan lake”, but, apparently, this has already happened on Novaya Kakhovka.
