Colombian plane crash children found alive 40 days later

The children who were in the plane crashed on May 1 in the jungles of Colombia were found alive. About this on June 9, citing sources in the army reported El Tiempo newspaper.

It is specified that they were found by representatives of the army together with local residents. In total, 120 special forces soldiers and 73 civilians took part in the rescue operation.

The children are dehydrated and suffered from insect bites, but there were no serious injuries. They were taken by helicopter to a military hospital, where they were immediately treated.

It is noted that the oldest child is only 13 years old, while the rest are nine, four and one years old.

Recall that a Cessna 206 plane with seven people on board crashed in the Colombian department of Caqueta on May 1. The wreckage of the aircraft was reached only two weeks later. Earlier it was reported about the discovery of the bodies of three adult passengers. In mid-May, it was reported that the children had been found, but this information was not confirmed.
