The Minister of sports of the Russian Federation said that Russia will not agree to the conditions of the IOC

The IOC has decided under what conditions it will allow the Russians to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. And they sound, to put it mildly, strange. A source in an international organization said: Russian athletes will allegedly be offered to compete in the status of refugees. This means that applications for participation in the Games will need to be submitted personally, without the mediation of the Russian Olympic Committee, and only in individual events of the Olympic program.

In addition, Russians can be forced to sign to the fact that they condemn the SVO and prove that they do not receive any financial support from Russian organizations.

The Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin has already stated on the sidelines of the forum: Russia will not agree to such conditions. The government wants to offer athletes a worthy replacement.

“We are planning to hold an open format of the BRICS Games, we are planning to hold friendship games. I want to say again: these are not alternatives, not some kind of destructive element in the international sports system. This is a response to today’s realities, and we, first of all, must take care of your athletes, your national system”Matytsin said.

The minister stressed that the International Olympic Committee is pursuing a policy of destroying our national sports system, with which Russia, of course, cannot agree. According to Matytsin, it is still necessary to give a legal assessment of the conditions put forward by the IOC and check whether they violate human rights.
