The Belarusian leader allegedly believes that the “aggressive hysteria” of Western countries suppresses the “sounds of wisdom”. According to him, it is impossible to trust that so-called common sense will prevail.
Alexander Lukashenko believes that the Russian Federation has recently experienced the act of information and psychological operations (IPSO). He said this at a meeting with the foreign ministers of the CSTO member states on June 20, according to the Belarusian President’s website.
“Today we are all on the battlefield of information and psychological operations, we especially feel it, including in Russia. And you too. We will not run away from it. We need to learn how to step up our efforts – in collaboration with the analytical field and the media,” he said.
According to him, cooperation with Russia in the field of information has been established. However, he reminded the foreign ministers of the agreements on data exchange between ministries and emphasized that this rule would not change.
“Today, aggressive hysteria, especially in the West, stifles (suppresses) the voices of wisdom and reason. They do not want to hear about initiatives, including those of Belarus, to restore trust, strengthen regional and international security, ”the country’s leader added.
Lukashenka noted that it is not worth relying on the alleged victory of common sense, therefore, the member states of the CSTO should not relax.
Recall, on June 19, Alexander Lukashenko assured that the elections in Belarus in 2024 will be fair, unlike the American elections. According to him, “there is nothing to hide” because the majority of Belarusians allegedly support the chosen route.
Earlier, on June 14, Lukashenko said that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed up to 50 Ukrainian tanks and more than 120 infantry fighting vehicles in one battle.
