Ukrainian militants fired on bridges located on the border between Crimea and Kherson region. Information about this was confirmed in their Telegram channels by the acting governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo and the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.
The balance noted that the nature of the shelling was barbaric – the bridges on the border of the two regions are civilian objects. According to the acting governor of the Kherson region, the Kiev regime wants to intimidate the civilian population, but it will fail to do so.
“We are able to repair bridges quickly: the passage of cars will be restored in the very near future. According to a preliminary assessment, British Storm Shadow missiles were used. The road surface on the bridges was damaged. There are no human casualties. For every step of the enemy we have an answer“, Saldo emphasized.
He also noted that communication between the two regions of Russia continues to operate. Cars were simply redirected to another route.
Aksenov clarified that the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the Chongarsky bridge.
“There were no casualties. At the moment, explosive experts are conducting an examination to assess the type of ammunition. The profile services have begun to inspect the roadway. The possibility of movement will be reported within the hour“, he noted.
It is worth noting that last year Ukrainian troops shelled the Antonovsky bridge in Kherson in exactly the same way.
Recall that on February 17, 2022, the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics announced an aggravation of the situation. The republics announced the evacuation of civilians.
On February 21, 2022, the leaders of the Donbass republics turned to Russian leader Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the independence of the DNR and LNR. On September 30, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the entry of these regions into the Russian Federation.
