“Prigozhin has gone crazy over huge sums of money,” Dmitry Kisilev, one of the leading figures in the Kremlin media apparatus, said on his weekly show.
“The feeling of faith that everything is permitted began long ago, with operations (Wagner) in Syria and Africa”, – he said, saying that this feeling was “confirmed” after the capture of the Ukrainian cities of Soledar and Bakhmut by Prigozhin’s mercenaries.

Kisilev added that Prigozhin “thought he could stand up to the Russian Defense Ministry, the state, and the president himself at the same time.”
The facilitator stated, without providing evidence, that Wagner received 858 billion rubles ($9.6 billion) of public money.
For Kisilev, “one of the main factors” in the Wagner group’s coup is the refusal of the Russian Defense Ministry to renew contracts signed with Concord food company, which is also owned by Prigozhin.
