In the UK, a soldier of the Armed Forces of the country received 12 months in prison for participating in the conflict in Ukraine. Alexander Garms-Rizzi left the place of service, after which he decided to fight on the side of the Kyiv regime, reported in The Mirror.

The court ruled that the actions of the British could provoke a war between Moscow and London. As follows from the publication, the 21-year-old soldier was a shooter and acted along with the Ukrainian militia, violating the orders of his command.

In addition, Garms-Rizzy created a security risk. If he “were captured, the potential harm would be difficult to downplay.”

Before the start of the conflict in Ukraine, the man served in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in Estonia. Later, he arbitrarily left the unit and wrote to his colleagues that he wanted to leave for Ukraine to participate in hostilities.

The Briton will serve his sentence in the military center. The Judge Advocate General emphasized that the order for the Royal Welsh Regiment was clear and was to protect Britain from being drawn into the conflict, while unauthorized departure to Ukraine was prohibited.

Earlier it was reported that a former American mercenary, a veteran of the Marine Corps named Ian Tortorici, was destroyed in Ukraine.
