Washington denied entry to several Russian delegates who were going to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Seattle. This was announced by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.

“Entry visas were not issued to representatives of several ministries and departments at once,” – he said.

According to Antonov, the States are using their chairmanship of the organization to discriminate against Russia. Our participants are not only not allowed to face-to-face meetings, but also create obstacles for negotiations via video link.

The diplomat pointed out the unacceptability of such actions and noted that the United States “again abused the status of the host country.”

The Russian Embassy sent its staff to Seattle to assist the delegates.

Recall that at the end of July, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said that the Kremlin was not waiting for an invitation from Vladimir Putin to participate in the APEC summit.
