The ministry accused Ukraine of alleged “terrorist attack”. It was stated that Russian air defense forces destroyed two UAVs over the Bryansk region and one UAV over the Kaluga region.
“Two UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems over the territory of the Bryansk region. A Ukrainian UAV was detected and destroyed by air defense systems over the territory of the Kaluga region,” the statement said.
The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, confirmed that the region was attacked by drones.
“Tonight, on the territory of Kozelsky district, a UAV was destroyed by air defense forces. There were no casualties or infrastructure damage,” he wrote on his Telegram.
The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, did not comment on the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense. But local Telegram channels have released video of eyewitnesses, from which you can hear the explosion. The video was reportedly shot around the village of Pogar.
Recall, on August 22, it was reported that another UAV exploded in the Moscow region. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that Ukraine allegedly launched 4 UAVs towards the Russian Federation. Two of them fell in the Bryansk region, the others exploded in the Moscow region.
