Apple has limited the data transfer speed of the iPhone 15

Apple CEO Tim Cook decided to show the world a master class on increasing earnings. During the presentation of the latest iPhone model, the emphasis was on the new Type C data connector, but its speed will be limited unless you buy a special cable, which costs from 70 to 130 dollars.

The company already pulled off a similar trick several years ago, when they began selling chargers separately.

Meanwhile, prices for the iPhone 15 in Russia have become known. The iPhone Plus version will cost 140 thousand rubles, iPhone Pro – 160, and iPhone Pro Max – 225 thousand.

On September 12, Apple held a presentation of the new iPhone 15 line. It features two “basic” iPhones: a standard one and a larger one – iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Both models have the same specifications and similar design, but the Plus version will have a larger display and battery. They also showed the Pro line – iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Among the main changes: the charging connector has been updated. The new Apple A17 Bionic chip was demonstrated, as well as improved camera capabilities thanks to a new periscope telephoto lens.

For the first time in the history of the gadget, the Lightning connector will be replaced by a USB-C port. All models will have it, but with some differences. Basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will support USB 2.0 (480 Mbps), while some insiders attribute the Pro models to USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps).
