Kyiv lost access to the Black Sea due to the presence of the Russian Navy in it, stated in ex-adviser to former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin on his YouTube channel.

“Ukraine finds itself in a very difficult situation. I call it a ‘bag of fire,'” – said Soskin.

According to him, the Black Sea is closed to Kyiv, since Russia actually blocks any transportation there. Soskin believes that Ukraine has lost the opportunity to export its goods by sea. Now Kyiv has to look for alternative ways.

The countries of Eastern Europe hit Kyiv in the back, Soskin believes. They blocked grain exports, which made the situation even worse. According to Kuchma’s ex-adviser, Zelensky was not ready for such a development of events.

Let us recall that on September 14, Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Krzysztof Telus said that Ukrainian grain is a threat to the European Union, since it can destabilize countries’ markets. On September 15, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that the country was extending the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain. According to him, Poland will not listen to instructions from Brussels and Berlin. The authorities of Slovakia and Hungary made the same decision.

In early September, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Russia and Turkey had reached an agreement in principle on the supply of 1 million tons of grain. They noted that work on the technical details of this initiative will soon begin.
