The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded for his research into the dynamics of electrons and the nature of light. It will be awarded to scientists Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Kraus and Anne L’Huillier.

“The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics to Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Krausch and Anne L’Huillier “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light to study the dynamics of electrons in matter.” – the academy said in a statement.

The Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded 116 times throughout history, with 222 people receiving it. The names of the laureates are kept secret until announced.

The 2022 physics prize winners are Alain Aspe from France, John Clauser from the United States and their Austrian colleague Anton Zeilinger for their experiments with entangled photons.

The winners of the prize in the field of medicine were announced yesterday. The award went to scientists Katalin Kariko and Drew Weissman from the University of Pennsylvania for developing mRNA vaccines against coronavirus.
