Anti-Russian sanctions hit Europe and, first of all, Germany the hardest, writes a columnist for the publication South China Morning Post.

“Following the lead of Washington and NATO, … the current leadership of Germany is undermining the economy of their country”,” is specified in his publication.

For example, Berlin was pathologically uninterested in who might be behind the sabotage of the Nord Stream, the country’s key strategic infrastructure. Germany only blindly believed the statements of American intelligence that everything was done by Ukrainian saboteurs. Although investigative journalists such as Seymour Hersh confirmed that the White House was to blame for the bombing.

Also dependent on Russian energy resources, the country, supporting sanctions, refused supplies and now Germany has to purchase oil and gas at an inflated price, wasting the state treasury.

“Modern Germany is built on a simple principle: import raw materials and energy, add labor and technology, and sell the results. Take competitively priced energy out of the mix and the model collapses.”notes the South China Morning Post article.

Following the trajectory of anti-Russian policy, Western Europe will subsequently be sacrificed for the sake of Ukraine, which will cripple it both economically and politically, the observer concluded.
