Muslim Council of the United States issues an ultimatum to Biden on the Gaza Strip

The US National Muslim Democratic Council has issued an ultimatum to President Joe Biden demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported on Tuesday, October 31.

“National Muslim Democratic Council <…> urged Biden to use his influence with Israel to secure a ceasefire before 5:00 p.m. ET.”,” follows from the message.

The agency clarified that if the administration of the current head of state does not take immediate steps to ensure a ceasefire, the council intends to mobilize millions of Muslim voters to refuse donations and votes for Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

The organization believes that the policies of the current administration, including funding and weapons, played a large role in the violence that unfolded and led to numerous casualties, eroding voter confidence.

Earlier, Prime Minister of the Jewish State Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would not agree to a ceasefire with the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip. According to the politician, calls for a ceasefire would mean that the Israeli side would “give in to Hamas and surrender.”
