“Unhealthy situation”: The Main Intelligence Directorate answered to whom the rumors about Putin’s “death” were directed (video)

Intelligence spokesman Andrei Yusov urged Ukrainians not to prematurely rejoice at the “good news” about Vladimir Putin’s death. According to him, such messages are an element of the internal conflict in Russia.

Information about the alleged death of President Vladimir Putin has spread in Russia. Against whom this information campaign works and what it gives Ukraine, representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Andrei Yusov told Radio NV on November 1.

“There should be very sweet music for Ukrainian listeners and good news that Putin is dead. But these are messages from Russian anonymous telegram channels, so this is an inside story,” he said.

The intelligence representative emphasized that the campaign on the “death” of the Russian President was aimed at the Russian audience.

“This does not benefit Putin personally because there are many supporters of conspiracy theories and theories in Russia,” Yusov said.

He explained that internal conflicts continue in Russia and manifest themselves in various ways, including the spread of such rumors. He said that for Ukraine, such campaigns are a necessary and useful “object of observation”.

“The main guarantee of the continuation of such internal processes in Russia is the success of the Ukrainian Defense Forces at the front, the strengthening of the sanctions policy and the pro-Ukrainian world coalition,” the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized.

He explained that the purpose of IPSO was to test the reaction of local people and elites. In addition, the rumors were also a means of influence on Putin himself, because his press secretary Dmitry Peskov had to respond to them.

“This is one of the signs of the unhealthy situation within this entity,” Yusov added.

Let us remind you that there were allegations that President Vladimir Putin died on the evening of October 26 in Russia. The cause of “death” was claimed to be disease.
