Hand and head injuries: A bear attacked Russian gas workers in Yakutia (video)

In the photo obtained by British journalists, a missing piece of the ear that the bear apparently ripped off during the attack can be seen.

A brown bear chasing dogs at a gas production complex in Yakutia climbed over the fence and entered the factory, where it attacked two local workers coming out of the smoking room. The Daily Mail writes about this.

According to Russian media, the attack took place 180 km away from the village of Vitim and two RussianGazBureniya employees were injured. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) assessed the condition of the victims as moderate.

The fatal collision caused serious injuries to the heads and hands of the injured gas workers.

In the video, several dogs are seen guarding the camp, and the person filming can be heard asking the dogs to leave. After this, a bear enters the area; apparently he was chasing the dogs.

When one of the employees of the complex left the trailer, the animal suddenly came out from behind the chemical bags and attacked him.

One of the victims was pushed into the snow by the bear. Others tried to scare the predator away with fire extinguishers.

Allegedly, two men smoking in the designated area saw the dogs chasing something.

One of them was a mechanic who opened the door to drive the bear away, but the bear immediately attacked him.

Amid widespread panic, some facility workers attempted to use fire extinguishers, flares and gas canisters to scare the animal.

The efforts were ultimately successful: The bear loosened its grip and left the local mechanic alone. But the factory foreman immediately caught his attention.

The attack lasted about 20 minutes in total before a hunter came to help and shot the bear.

After first aid to the injured, they were taken to the hospital by helicopter.

In the photo obtained by British journalists, a missing piece of the ear that the bear apparently ripped off during the attack can be seen.

Let us remind you that a brown bear was seen in the Chernobyl Nature Reserve, but the war did not force it to leave.
