Politico called Nabiullina the main “destroyer” of the West’s intentions

The head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, became the winner in the category of the main “destroyer” of the year according to the Politico newspaper.

This “title” was awarded to her for her contribution to strengthening the Russian economy, despite the efforts of the West.

“The chief banker of the Russian Federation was able to prevent the consequences of unprecedented Western sanctions”– writes Politico.

It is noted that over ten years, Nabiullina has repeatedly saved the ruble and kept the country’s economy afloat with a tough monetary policy.

Let’s add that Politico also named influential people in the categories of “Doers”, “Dreamers” and “Disrupters”.

Earlier, Nabiullina reported that the Russian banking sector was back in good shape. According to her, since the beginning of the year, the sector’s earnings amounted to 2.9 trillion rubles.
