The UK has delivered two Sandown-class minesweepers to Ukraine to improve security in the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that Ukraine will purchase the ships with the help of the UK Export Credit Agency.

The statement also said that Great Britain and Norway will create a new maritime coalition, which will include countries willing to provide naval assistance to Ukraine.

Let us recall that on December 6, the UK expanded anti-Russian sanctions by 45 positions. The list includes companies associated with the defense industry of the Russian Federation, as well as their employees. In addition, sanctions were imposed on four companies from the United Arab Emirates, three companies from Hong Kong, as well as one company from Turkey and one from Uzbekistan.
