The West is waging an “ice” war against Russia, while participating in a “hot” war in Ukraine. So Senator Alexey Pushkov in your Telegram channel commented on the statement by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen about the West’s preparation for a “cold war” with Russia.
According to Pushkov, Häkkänen’s statement about the West’s “preparing” for the Cold War is not entirely clear, because in fact the West has been waging it for almost two years now.
“<...> For almost two years now they themselves have been waging the Cold War against Russia, and in the most active form,” – wrote Pushkov.
The senator added that the West has been preparing for it since 2014, when it imposed sanctions against Russia.
According to Pushkov, during the Cold War, relations between the West and Moscow were “immeasurably better,” despite the crises that occurred: Soviet gas flowed to Western Europe, and “no one blew up pipelines.”
“Now the West is waging not a cold war against Russia, but an “ice war,” and in Ukraine it is also participating in a hot one,” – concluded Pushkov.
Let us recall that earlier Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen stated that Western countries are preparing for a new Cold War against Russia, so they are beginning to increase their military production. He noted that Western countries are developing military-industrial complexes simultaneously to support Kyiv and confront Moscow.
