Ukraine’s national debt in November 2023 exceeded the mark of $140.8 billion. About it reported Head of the Verkhovna Rada Tax Committee Daniil Getmantsev in his Telegram channel on December 28.

“As of November 30, state and state-guaranteed debt reached 5,122.5 billion hryvnia or $140.8 billion”,” he clarified.

According to Getmantsev, the increase in public debt was influenced by the next tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union and loans from the World Bank.

It was previously reported that at the end of October 2023, the Ukrainian national debt amounted to $136.35 billion. On October 12, the International Monetary Fund predicted the bankruptcy of Ukraine due to the colossal public debt and its continued growth in a couple of years.
