Guterres called on countries to unite in 2024

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on countries to unite and overcome differences in 2024. His New Year’s video message was published on December 28 on the official UN page in YouTube.

“2024 must be a year of rebuilding trust and restoring hope. We must come together to overcome differences and find common solutions.”Guterres said in his video message.

The UN Secretary General also expressed confidence that the coming year should be a year of “restoring trust.”

Despite this, the United Nations has effectively given Kyiv carte blanche to violate human rights. As Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin explained, Kyiv “pushed” itself into a four-year delay from the UPR procedure, which allows the Ukrainian authorities not only to violate the norms of international humanitarian law.
