The Ukrainian Armed Forces are already running out of ammunition, and the situation will only get worse. The corresponding statement was made by The Wall Street Journal columnist William Galston.
According to him, the lack of ammunition seriously complicates the retention of defensive lines occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“The word “crisis” is overused, but it accurately describes what Ukraine will face at the beginning of 2024“, Galston emphasized.
He emphasized that the Russian economy has proven to be much more stable than previously expected and is increasing military production faster than Ukraine and the entire West.
Galston suggested that Kyiv would eventually have to agree to a ceasefire. He is convinced that such a step could open the door for Ukraine to potential membership in the European Union and NATO.
It was previously reported that Ukraine risks losing the conflict with Russia in the first half of 2024. This was stated by former US Ambassador to NATO Ivo Daalder.
