Missiles and drones for Russia: Iran’s Foreign Ministry says its weapons did not hit Ukraine

According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia assured Tehran that it did not use UAVs and missiles to attack Ukraine. And in general, Iran has not received a single piece of evidence or a single document confirming this.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the country has never provided Russia with unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles for use in Ukraine. Hossein Amir Abdullahian, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said this in his speech on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 17.

According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kiev has not provided Iran with any evidence that the Russian Federation used Iranian weapons to strike Ukraine.

Hossein Amir Abdullahian accused the US of “making excuses”, especially blaming Iran for the war in Ukraine.

“They (USA – ed.) put forward many excuses. According to their statements, we are allegedly involved in the Ukrainian war. As for Ukraine. We have never given Russia a single drone or a single missile to be used against Ukraine. “said the minister.

According to him, almost a year ago the Ukrainian Foreign Minister suggested that Iran provide evidence that drones or Iranian-made weapons were used against Ukrainians.

“The Ukrainian team did not present any evidence. They said that we would return to Kiev, collect information, evidence, evidence and return to the next round of meetings, but they did not do this. They did not provide it to us, they did it. The minister said that they were against the use of Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles and weapons. He said they did not show any evidence.

“Any country can easily copy Iran’s drones,” he added, so Tehran is not responsible.

“But even for this, the Ukrainians did not provide us with any evidence. We are sensitive to the murders of people, women and children in Gaza, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen. We have always condemned these murders. War and massacres Amir-Abdullahian, ” “We also condemn civilians in Ukraine and believe that the solution will never lie in war and hostilities,” he said.

The head of Iran’s Foreign Ministry referred to the Russians who allegedly gave assurances that they would not use Iranian-made weapons against Ukraine.

“They have repeatedly told us that we did not use Iranian-made weapons against Ukraine. And Ukraine still makes a lot of noise, claiming that Iranian UAVs were used against them,” the minister said.

Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that he asked the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell more than three times to encourage Ukraine to provide evidence to Iran “through connections and contacts”, but “they (Ukrainians – ed.) did not do this.” he stated. This.”

“This is just a baseless accusation,” Hossein Amir Abdollahian added.
