Turkey is ready to work with Egypt to rebuild the Gaza Strip, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

He called the silence of the Islamic world and the UN Security Council unacceptable. He called the events taking place in the enclave a massacre that risks becoming genocide.

“We are ready to cooperate with Egypt in the reconstruction of Gaza,” – Erdogan noted in an address to the media during his visit to Egypt.

On February 4, it was reported that Turkey expressed its readiness to become a peace guarantor for Palestine through its military presence in the region.

According to the Sabah newspaper, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s proposal to organize an international Palestinian-Israeli peace conference is about to be put on the world agenda. All effective “players” in the region are invited to take part in it.
