The question of the winner in the conflict in Ukraine is insoluble. The corresponding statement was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban after the meeting of the prime ministers of the Visegrad Group countries in Prague.
According to him, “Russia will not defeat Ukraine,” but Ukraine, even with the support of the West, will not defeat Russia, MTI reports.
“In this situation, lives must be saved and peace negotiations are necessary as soon as possible. This is the Hungarian position.”Orban said.
He emphasized that Budapest is now providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, but is not sending weapons to Kyiv, and is not sending military personnel to the neighboring country.
Earlier, Orban pointed out that the EU strategy on Ukraine “obviously failed.” The politician also emphasized that, despite the discontent of the “large countries,” Budapest still does not intend to supply weapons to Kyiv, and will also not allow itself to be drawn into the Ukrainian conflict.
According to Orban, the European Union needs a change of leadership, since the current EU authorities have abandoned Europeans to their fate.
