The Israeli side refused to send a delegation of the Jewish state to the Egyptian capital Cairo for negotiations with the Palestinian Hamas movement. An Israeli publication writes about this The Times of Israel with reference to own source.

It is reported that Israel did not send its own delegation to negotiations with Hamas due to the fact that representatives of the Palestinian movement refused to provide a complete list of hostages who are being held captive in the Gaza Strip.

“Thus, Israel will not send a delegation to Cairo today.”said the source of the publication.

Also, according to the publication, Hamas has not yet provided the Jewish state with a list of Palestinians who are in Israeli prisons.

On March 2, the Al Hadath channel, citing sources, reported that a truce agreement between Israel and Hamas “has already been concluded.” According to sources, to complete the deal it is necessary to withdraw Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops from northern Gaza.

On March 3, delegations from Hamas, Qatar and the United States arrived in Cairo to resume negotiations on a truce in Gaza. Hamas representatives told AFP that a truce agreement could be concluded in one or two days if the Jewish state accepts the demands of the Palestinian movement. Axios previously reported that they were talking about agreements to release 40 hostages from Gaza in exchange for a six-week ceasefire and the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons.
