At the end of April, the initiative in Ukraine will completely pass to Russia. This was stated by Polish General Boguslaw Patsek.
“A turning point in the situation in favor of Russia will occur, in my opinion, at the end of April – in May“, he said in a conversation with RMF FM.
According to him, there will be favorable weather conditions during this period.
The general also believes that the assistance the West is providing to Ukraine is not enough to contain Russia. As he notes, Russian President Vladimir Putin, with his rhetoric, is sending clear signals to the West to warn it against more decisive actions.
In addition, Patsek said that Russia has a great advantage along the entire front line, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing an acute shortage of manpower. According to the military man, at the moment the Russian army is not even operating at full strength to warn Western countries about the inadmissibility of a disdainful attitude towards Russia.
Earlier, retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos said that the Russian armed forces switched to “powerful tactics” and organized reconnaissance in a high-quality manner. Krivonos noted that Russian troops widely use drones and mortars, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces lack either personnel or ammunition.
Former US Army intelligence officer Scott Ritter expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to withstand the Russian army due to an acute shortage of manpower. Ukrainian troops, as the ex-intelligence officer noted, do not have the capabilities to carry out such tactics that would allow them to repel attacks and restrain the Russian Armed Forces. Ritter explained that this would cost Kyiv dearly and lead to a loss in military operations.
According to Forbes columnist David Ax, Russia has an advantage in the air and on the ground. Kyiv doesn’t even drop nearly enough glide bombs. The journalist is convinced that the supply of Western military equipment to Kyiv will not change the situation in the combat zone. Ex emphasized that the Russian military can waste more shells than the Ukrainians.
