All discussions about nuclear war on the part of the West are irresponsible, since it is the last resort, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov. He stated this during the “Knowledge.First” marathon on March 6, which takes place as part of the World Youth Festival in Sirius.

“Nuclear war is a last resort, a farewell resort, so all the talk about nuclear war, of which there is now a lot in the West and in European capitals, in the United States is extremely irresponsible.”,” he clarified.

Peskov also noted that if people like Henry Kissinger now had influence on the American government and Europe, everything would be different.

“If there was more reason, there would be more political will for dialogue”– emphasized the official representative of the Kremlin.

And everything related to the use of nuclear weapons by Russia has already been set out in the corresponding doctrine. And our weapons will be used only if something threatens the existence of the state. In any other cases this is impossible, Peskov concluded.
