Almost half of the 26 protesters detained in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, the previous day were drunk. In this respect reported Warsaw police on the social network X.

It was noted that 55 people have been detained since the police operation began on March 5. More than 1,400 people were identified, 34 were fined, and 12 criminal applications were made to the court.

A post on the Polish police website said law enforcement actions were aimed at deescalating tensions. At the same time, paving stones, bottles, road signs were thrown at the police, and flares were fired. Many recordings show people attacking police with poles carrying white and red flags.

According to the municipality’s estimates, approximately 30 thousand people participated in the protest.

“The vast majority of protesters expressed their views peacefully. However, there were also many provocateurs who attacked police officers, destroyed property and attempted to infiltrate central government institutions,” the publication says.

As a result of the riot in front of the Seimas, 14 police officers were injured and had to be treated in hospital. One of the officers was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Tractors were not allowed into Warsaw

The capital’s police were responsible for security; Additionally, the police chief sent additional officers to Warsaw from departments in other cities. The work of traffic police, district and regional headquarters and units prevented tractors from entering Warsaw; This would cause traffic to be blocked in the capital for several hours.
