Current US President Joe Biden has collected the required number of delegates to the Democratic National Convention to be nominated as a candidate in the upcoming presidential elections. This follows from a forecast provided by The Hill newspaper.

According to the publication, Biden is winning the Democratic Party primaries taking place on March 12 in Georgia. That will help him secure the support of more than 100 delegates to represent the state at the party’s national convention Aug. 19-22 in Chicago.

In total, Biden has now won 1,970 delegate votes.

To be nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate, a candidate must receive 1,968 delegate votes at the national convention.

Earlier, American journalist Seymour Hersh expressed the opinion that it would be difficult for Biden to win the presidential election in the United States in the fall of 2024 if he does not abandon his support for Israel. Let us remind you that the US presidential elections will be held on November 5th.
