ISIS vows to deal with Putin: How Russia made a mistake with its main enemy

Journalist Orest Sohar says Putin is making a big political mistake by intervening in Muslims’ internal disputes. As a result, the Kremlin dictator faced a deadly enemy in ISIS, which now threatened Russia and himself personally.

Putin is a “Shiite”… ISIS promises to capture the Russian Federation and sanctuary in particular.

Russian officials made a serious mistake when determining the caliber of their political enemies: the Kremlin traditionally sees liberals as a threat, while only Islamists can raise modern Moscow to its feet. At their instigation, the 1st and 2nd Chechen wars arose, and high-profile terrorist attacks thundered in the Russian Federation. And it was the supporters of the “Islamic State” who punched the bunker in the “Crocus City” near Moscow in the stomach.

If the Kremlin Führer has not yet become a Shiite, he has probably already been recruited by them. After all, he was deeply involved in international Muslim squabbles on the side of one of the factions.

Iran is the main partner of the Russian Federation in creating the Middle East crisis, especially the war in Israel. Iranians are overwhelmingly Shiite, and sometimes it’s hard to figure out who they hate more: Americans or Sunni Muslims.

Moscow and Tehran are jointly investigating Syrian dictator Assad’s geopolitical ass: in particular, the Russian Federation sent troops in 2015 to supposedly clean up the consequences of the incident. The “Arab Spring” completely changes the course of the civil war.

Let me remind you that the war in Syria started in 2011 with protests against the Assad dictatorship, which ISIS took advantage of and captured approximately one-third of Syrian territory and 40 percent of Iraq. Later, Assad asked for help from the Russian army, militants from Hezbollah and Iran, and the “Islamic statesmen” were practically destroyed. The whole world knows the tragedy of the city of Aleppo, with a population of 2 million, which the pro-Assad coalition surrounded and destroyed with aerial bombs, chemical weapons and hunger.

It is now time to add to the story an element that characterizes the Kremlin: lack of principle. While Moscow was fighting against ISIS, it was also trading oil with it. Nothing personal, just business.

“ISIS has been focused on Russia for the past two years, frequently criticizing Putin in its propaganda and routinely viewing Russia as complicit in activities that oppress Muslims,” analysts say.

The militants of the Islamic State are Sunni. By the way, like occupied Ichkeria (Chechnya): solidarity with the enslaved Caucasian people is another denarius in the treasury of hatred for the Kremlin and its sympathizers.

The Islamic State subgroup calling itself ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the attacks. “K” is the first letter of “Khorasan”, the ancient name of the region covering Iran, Turkmenistan and parts of Afghanistan. In fact, ISIS-K aims to control a significant part of Asia, from Kazakhstan in the north to the Maldives in the south; From Eastern Iran in the west to Western China in the east, it brings with it new regions such as Tajikistan. It’s about their ambitions.

Meanwhile, ISIS claimed responsibility for attacks it had nothing to do with in the past. However, this time their “trace” was confirmed by American intelligence.

This is not the first terrorist attack by ISIS against the Russian Federation: in September 2022, ISIS-K militants had already made their presence felt by carrying out a terrorist attack on the Russian embassy in Kabul. However, it turned out that the attack on Crocus City was much bloodier and larger-scale. There are explanations for this: in this way the militants are trying to increase their importance, that is, their support and power.

ISIS-K may continue its attacks around the world to achieve its goal of “becoming a terrorist organization with global influence.” This will be especially comfortable in the territory of Muscovy, where intelligence services spend large amounts of money tracking the political enemies of the regime and where the security of citizens is not among the priorities of law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, information is spreading on the Internet: ISIS announced new terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation and personally threatened the Fuhrer.

BUT: ISIS cannot be considered the “good guys” because they see the Kremlin as the enemy. Although Islamic State militants have the capacity to return the Russian Federation to a time of complete fear, where terrorists compete with the FSB to see who can carry out the first sabotage against Russians.
