The US Congress invited Biden to testify on his involvement in the family’s business

The US House of Representatives has invited US President Joe Biden to testify regarding information about his involvement in the business transactions of his family members. Corresponding letter from the press service of the House Oversight Committee published on social network X.

“In light of the yawning gap between your public statements and the committee’s evidence, and in view of the White House’s obstruction, it is in the highest interest of the American people that you directly answer questions from members of Congress.”– said in a letter signed by the head of the committee, James Comer.

The congressman recalled that the committee is currently investigating Biden’s involvement in the business of members of his family, including the use of his influence. According to Comer, during the investigation it was revealed that more than $24 million had been received from foreign senders into the accounts of Biden, his relatives and their partners.

Biden himself has previously repeatedly stated that he had nothing to do with the business of his relatives.

Hunter Biden and Burisma

Previously, when Hunter Biden’s laptop was hacked, an email was discovered that proves that he had access to classified information and used it for financial gain.

A letter compromising the Biden couple was published by journalist Miranda Devine on her Twitter. The information related to visa restrictions and was classified and came from the US State Department. Hunter had no security clearance or reason to obtain it.

Hunter needed information about visa restrictions to organize a trip to the United States for executives of the private Ukrainian gas production company Burisma Group. By the way, the son of the US President was accused of lobbying activities and corruption crimes related to Burisma. From 2014 to 2019, Hunter served on the company’s board of directors.

Then members of the US House of Representatives came into possession of materials from the FBI, which contained information about the connection between the US President and the Ukrainian company Burisma, whose board of directors included Joe Biden’s son Hunter.
