Classic Ferrari engine turned into an expensive desk for the price of a new supercar (photo)

A real Ferrari V12 engine became the basis of the original painting. Created in a single copy on individual order.

RM Sotheby’s car auction is currently underway in Miami. They sold retro cars and modern supercars, as well as an unusual coffee table. It brought in $246,000, about four times what was originally planned. This is the official website of the auction house.

This painting fits perfectly with the theme of the auction. The truth is, it’s made from a real vintage Ferrari engine taken from the Italian supercar of the 60’s. Created to order in a single copy.

The classic V12 has been restored, cleaned and polished, with even six twin Weber carburetors left. Glass top mounts attach directly to the engine’s exhaust manifold and resemble exhaust pipes.

Furniture made from car parts has been gaining popularity in recent years. From engines they make in the living room, and from seats – armchairs and sofas.

As a rule, such furniture is much cheaper, since power units of relatively inexpensive cars are used. That said, classic Ferrari V12 engines aren’t cheap, even if they’re not running anyway, so the tableau is on a new supercar level.

Previously Focus reported that they noticed an expensive 1000 horsepower Ferrari supercar in Ukraine in the winter.

We also wrote that the rarest BMW sports car was sold at the same auction in Miami.
