The Mazda designer believes this makes the new models feel calmer and more confident. This technology will later be included in many models of the brand.
Mazda has created innovative turn signals designed to “humanize” new cars. They work with the heart. This is reported on the Carscoops website.
Atsushi Yoshida, head of designer and lighting development at Mazda, said modern cars often lack “soul”. Therefore, he decided to create unusual spin signals that mimic the beating of the human heart.
The new turn signals have already been introduced on the Mazda CX-30 and will be made available to other models later on. Yoshida stated that developing this technology is not easy.
Pulsed turn signals turn on and off smoothly. According to the designer, in this way it is possible to reduce the tension of other road users and create a sense of calm.
Yoshida shared that he looks at electrocardiograms by observing the waves created by the heartbeat to get the right rhythm. He studied them, how they lingered and dwindled.
It took two years to develop the turn signals. During the first tests, the lights went out very quickly.
Previously Focus He wrote that Mazda has launched an inexpensive hybrid crossover MX-30.
