Rare 87-year-old Lancia star singer to sell for over $2 million (photo)

Such a high price is due to the rarity of the model – in total only six Lancia Astura Series III convertibles were produced with an elegant, streamlined Tipo Bocca body. This is one of the first works of the famous studio Pininfarina.

This particular car was sold to England, but was lost before WWII. In 1962, a convertible was found in an abandoned mansion, and Pininfarina helped restore it.
