Hybrid and electric vehicles will be produced under the new Qoshcar brand. Cars from Kazakhstan are planned to be exported to Europe, America and Asia.
Official photos of the first Kazakh car have been released. Its development was initiated by the Qoshcar Automotive initiative. This was reported on the official website.
Qoshcar Automotive was founded in April 2022 by Kazakh businessman İlyas Zholaman, who previously sold BMW cars. Translated from Kazakh, Qoshcar means “strong ram”. The founder of the brand explained that the strength, stubbornness and endurance of the animal inspired the creators of the car.
The firstborn Qoshqar GT Vision 1 will be developed by former Renault designer Alexei Ivashkevich and stylist Vasily Kurkov, who previously worked at Chinese company Nio. They created a streamlined traveling coupe with ingenious asymmetrical doors that lift up.
The Kazakh car will be offered in electric and plug-in hybrid versions. The equipment will include an air purification system in the cabin. The triple interior will be made in the Kazakh dormitory style.
The release of the Qoshqar GT Vision 1 is planned in 2-3 years – for this it is necessary to attract investments of $ 2 million. The car will cost around $100,000 and will be sold in 30 countries in Europe, America and Asia.
Later, the series will be replenished with a convertible and an all-terrain wagon. In the future, it is planned to increase production volumes to 4,000 vehicles per year.
