Australian mechanic wrecks iconic $100,000 car of the 1980s (video)

The owner of a Holden Commodore VL had his car serviced, but something went wrong. Now the police are learning all the circumstances of the accident.

An auto mechanic in Australia wrecked a rare 1986 Holden Commodore VL sedan that was sent for service. This is reported on the Carscoops website.

The car belongs to a local enthusiast who modified it. He took his Holden Commodore VL for service to check its condition.

A few days later the owner of the sedan returned to the workshop and was horrified to see that his car had been destroyed. The car has a lot of damage including dents on the front, bent hood and dents on the rear.

According to journalists, the mechanic decided to go for a ride in a rare sedan. As a result, he lost control and crashed into three other cars.

The owner of the Holden Commodore VL was very surprised at what happened. His car is worth $100,635.

Now the police are learning all the circumstances of the accident. So far, no charges have been brought against the mechanic.

The Holden Commodore VL is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine with a Rochester carburetor. Factory power is 164 hp.
