Genesis Electrified GV70: the perfect balance between luxury and electrification

Electric vehicles are a window to the future, so companies are following this path. An example of this is the Genesis brand, which launched its first model with such characteristics on the market a year ago.

Now, a few months later, it’s going for a third: the Genesis Electrified GV70, a variant that comes with a petrol car platform (GV70) that hits the market with everything thanks to a 67kWh battery that offers an interesting range of autonomy. : over 200 miles.

Aesthetically, it is pleasing to the naked eye after keeping the same version as its petrol model. The semi-oval hood along with the imposing swarm-shaped grille carry reflectors in the front.

Namely, being an electric model, it does not need engine ventilation grilles. Therefore, the grille can be used as desired for aesthetic design. Then, with force, aerodynamic lines are applied to the hood, roof and sides of the car (on the lower area of the doors).

The 2.65-inch tires do the trick, too, as they are adorned with standard chrome-grey 20-inch X-shaped wheels that catch the eye as soon as you look at the car. Plus, when it rolls, it conveys an unmistakable sense of elegance.

more possibilities

This vehicle has been dubbed by Genesis as “an electric model that sets the standard for luxury electric SUVs, building on the GV70 heritage, inheriting its predecessor’s spacious interior and adding outstanding performance as well as a range of new technologies. exclusively for electric vehicles.

Mechanically, it stands out for having two motors, one for each axle, that combine to deliver 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of linear torque. In addition, it is equipped with an all-wheel drive system for all four wheels (AWD).

It even comes with a Boost mode that allows the Genesis Electrified GV70 to deliver up to 483 horsepower for a limited period of time (roughly 10 seconds).

Finally, full autonomy is 283 miles with a single charge of its battery supplying energy to the engine so that it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
