The body of the Zaporozhets was completely redesigned – the wings of the car were expanded, the doors, hood and trunk lid were changed. Instead of a standard engine, a 115 horsepower Opel engine is installed.
Crazy sports “Zaporozhets” appeared in Ukraine. The old ZAZ-968 was completely replaced and turned into a real sports car. This is reported by the Hyser website.
“Zaporozhets” received for overhaul was not in the best condition. The car was rusty and needed repair. In the design of the car, the vast majority of parts were changed.
The ZAZ-968 features extended fenders, a completely redesigned front and rear, and a new hood and trunk lid. He painted the car a matte black.
However, the most interesting detail of the car is the doors. They rise up like Lamborghini and McLaren supercars. “Zaporozhets” with open doors looks impressive.
Tuning “Zaporozhets” involves replacing the engine. Instead of the standard 1.2-liter engine, the ZAZ-968 received a 2.0-liter 115-horsepower fuel-injected four from the Opel Omega A, but the 5-speed manual transmission was borrowed from the Opel Vectra A.
Vectra also donated rear struts and front disc brakes, while front suspension and rear brakes were sourced from Daewoo Lanos. The master brake cylinder is taken from a BMW 735i. Tuning the ZAZ-965 not only made the car faster, but also more interesting to drive.
