The French company DS Automobiles decided to recreate Fantomas’ famous flying car. The designers drew a modern version of it. This was reported by the official website of the Stellantis concern.
Sketches of Fantomas’ car were made for a special exhibition at the French National Automobile Museum. Dedicated to cars from films starring Louis de Funes – this year marks the 40th anniversary of the death of the famous actor.
One of the main exhibits of the exhibition was Fantomas’ flying car. According to the plot of the movie “Fantômas enraged”, the villain is hiding from his followers in this Citroen DS. It is equipped with retractable wings and tail, and a jet engine is placed at the rear.
The new car from Fantomas also received wings and a “tail”, but its design was made in the style of the modern DS, with a pronounced “nose”, embossed sidewalls, a high window line and a sloping roof, land movements.
DS has yet to specify whether Fantomas’ modern car will be metal. It is possible that the design details of the concept car will be included in the future cars of the French brand.
