South African company SVI Engineering has introduced a stealth armor package for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport. The SUV can withstand bullets. This was reported on the CarBuzz website.
Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport received armor providing protection at the B4 level. It has the capacity to protect the driver and passengers against shots from pistols up to .44 Magnum caliber.
Improvements include flashing around all door locks. The windshield and rear windows were replaced with 0.8-inch-thick ballistic glass.
The armor consists of bonded Kevlar for main areas and armored steel for narrower and more vulnerable areas. SVI Engineering said the upgrade package provides protection for the entire vehicle.
All modifications weigh only 350 kg. There’s no need for upgraded suspension or upgraded brakes with this SUV.
The stealth armor package for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport costs $41,000. You will have to pay $56,000 for protection under the B6 standard.
Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport is equipped with a 3.4-liter turbocharged V6 engine producing 415 hp. and 650 Nm of torque. A 3.3-liter, 309-horsepower turbodiesel option is also available. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
