The Mercedes 1722 truck gained a living module the size of an apartment. Inside there are four sleeping places, a kitchen and a bathroom.
A Dutch family replaced their apartment with a mobile home. Spouses Michael and Fleur and daughters Given and Julie travel the world in a vintage Mercedes-Benz 1722 cargo truck and were featured in a story on the Tiny House Giant Journey Youtube channel.
Tuning of the Mercedes 1722 was carried out in the Dutch studio Twiga Travel Cars. His owners named him Manfred.
The truck received a 5.2-meter residential module with an area of 11.9 square meters. m.Numerous windows ensure good illumination of the interior throughout the day.
Inside there is a large folding bed for adults (which turns into a kitchen corner) and a two-story bed for children. There is also a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator and sink.
Naturally, there are many different cabinets and drawers in Manfred’s living room. There was space for a washing machine. The equipment includes a boiler and heat pump, and solar panels are mounted on the roof.
The Mercedes 1722 caravan is equipped with a 220 horsepower turbodiesel V6 and a four-wheel drive system. Its high ground clearance and off-road tires make it perfectly suitable for off-road use.
